Oh boy, you’re going to be in for a fun ride

On the 2018 list, I have said that the disruptions are less than what 2017 has to offer. In this list, I am going to show you why.

During 2017 it was the year of experimentation of the new MRT signalling system, which I am honestly not a fan of. This is also a reason why in June and July it has made many disruptions (even though SMRT just does not Tweet about it altogether). It just made the ride even more slower then it already is, in my opinion. I am kind of like an avid watcher in this type of stuff.

Alright, with that said, here are the MRT Disruptions for 2017 (possibly the full list!)

Key:
Numbers with comma (,) are delays (<15 mins)
Numbers with asterisks (*) are minor disruptions (>15 mins <30 mins)
Numbers with a full stops (.) are major disruptions (>30 mins)

LTA Year End Report: Overall MRT Network= 16 (CBTC=4) North-South Line: 6 (CBTC=2). East-West Line: 5 (CBTC=2). North-East Line: 3. Circle Line: 2, 0 on Downtown Line.

SMRT Delay: Overall, there were 127 disruptions caused by the CBTC/Legacy signalling faults (disruptions for >5 mins), peaking with 29 during June. You can read more at the picture source: https://mothership.sg/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Screen-Shot-2018-03-28-at-5.49.42-PM.png
